Cadets thank community for tag weekend success

21 Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada Army Cadet Corps would like to thank the residents of the City of Cambridge for their generosity during their semi-annual Army Cadet Tagging weekend.

Over the course of four days, 56 cadets logged a total of 688 hours of community service to their cadet corps.

The cadets would like to thank the 38 businesses that granted us permission to tag outside their locations, and everyone who donated to help fund the cadet program.

We would also like to thank our friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121 in Galt for providing our home base for the weekend.

As the third-oldest continuously serving cadet corps in Canada, we are celebrating a prestigious milestone this year. Please help us celebrate our 130th year in the Cambridge community by attending our annual Ceremonial Review at Preston Auditorium on June 11 at 1 p.m. Join us to see what the money from our tagging events has helped us achieve this year.

Once again, thank you all for your continued support and generosity.

Mary-Elizabeth MacDonald,

Support committee chairperson,

21 Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada Army Cadet Corps
